The PetroTag Tank Gauging System is versatile,
accurate, easy to install, and very competitively priced.
PetroTag can measure temperature corrected
height, volume, mass and density with a single sensor probe. The
competition requires the use of a separate temperature sensor for
compensation and a pressure sensor mounted at the bottom of the
tank for density measurement.
PetroTag can also measure water level and
has an independent high alarm. The competition requires a separate
water probe.
PetroTag is a stand alone system which can
also be connected to a remote computer via a suitable communications
channel. The competition is really just a sensor and requires an
external computer.
PetroTag does all measurement and calculation
in its own controller. Other systems requires an external computer
for calculation.
PetroTag is suitable for accurate inventory control and is certified
for custody control. It could be used as a replacement for a flow
metering system or for confirmation.
Since the PetroTag sensor is operated by
nitrogen gas and the controller is outside the hazardous area it
does not require explosion proof cabling and is therefore inexpensive
and easy to install. The competition systems must have explosion
proof cabling.
A PetroTag system is often less than half
the price of competitive systems.
