PT400 Conduit is used to contain the pneumatic tubing and wires which connect the centralized control system to the tank probes. The pneumatic tubing is used to supply nitrogen to the probes for measuring in-tank pressures. The twisted pair wiring is used to connect the temperature sensors and redundant high level float switches.
Flexible armored conduit is typically installed under tank ladders and catwalks at above ground storage sites where it does not hinder use of the fixtures or detract from a clean and uncluttered installation. Cable trays can also be used to protect the conduit.
